Management Board change at Comma Soft AG – Benjamin Schulte becomes new CEO

Benjamin Schulte, who has been involved in Comma Soft’s success story as COO and member of the Management Board since 2016, has taken on the role of CEO at the start of the year. His in-depth knowledge of the company and his many years of experience in the IT industry form a strong foundation for the future. With fresh impetus and a clear eye for innovation, he will continue to develop Comma Soft AG and tap into new growth potential.

Focus on continuity and innovation
The new CEO – a business IT specialist by trade who has been with Comma Soft AG since 2009 – sees his task as combining proven strengths with new ideas and impetus: “I am proud to be leading Comma Soft AG into a new era,” says Benjamin Schulte. “We are continuing to build on the strong foundations laid by Stephan Huthmacher. Our goal remains”, Schulte explains, “to continue to drive forward the digital transformation of our customers, strengthen their competitiveness and set new standards in the areas of artificial intelligence, data science and IT infrastructure.”

Generation change as a strategic step

The change at the top of the company is the result of a long-term planned process that ensures the sustainable further development of Comma Soft AG. Stephan Huthmacher, who has shaped the IT consulting company for over 35 years, explains: “In view of the excellent development and the point at which Comma Soft AG is now at, the time is right for me to hand over responsibility to the next generation.”

Due to the many years of successful collaboration, Huthmacher’s choice of the new CEO was anything but difficult: “I have worked successfully with Benjamin Schulte on the Management Board for the past eight years. He has the ideal combination of experience, professional expertise and entrepreneurial vision to master the challenges of the coming years.”

For Stephan Huthmacher, one of the company’s key strengths is that Comma Soft AG is – and will remain – a family business. “As a family business for which financial independence is a core value,” explains Huthmacher, ”Comma Soft AG will continue to combine the two poles of innovation and stability in the future. This combination makes us a reliable partner for our customers and a driver of innovation in the industry.”

New Supervisory Board with proven structure

The Supervisory Board of Comma Soft AG is made up of experienced individuals who have been with the company for many years. Stephan Huthmacher and his son Kolja Dreger, who has been a member of the board since July 2024, represent the entrepreneurial family. Dr. Wolfgang Klein remains Chairman and will continue to be supported by Dr. René Perillieux and Ulrich Beckmann. The Supervisory Board ensures sustainable corporate governance and accompanies Comma Soft AG on its continued growth path.

New role for Stephan Huthmacher
Stephan Huthmacher is looking forward to his new role: “I am and will remain a family entrepreneur, whether as CEO or now on the Supervisory Board. This new role,” he adds, ”gives me the opportunity to work even more closely on the company – with a focus on setting the strategic course and using my network in business, technology and science.” The close collaboration with Benjamin Schulte remains an important interface for the ex-CEO. “Even though I am now in a new role, Benjamin Schulte and I will continue to inspire each other and shape the future of Comma Soft.”
