Service, registration and payment

The event includes documentation, catering and drinks.

We kindly ask you to register online only through our website. Please provide us with your name, full business address, phone number, email address and billing address if it differs from the business address.. We will process your registration in the order in which it is received. Your registration becomes binding when we confirm your registration to the email address you have provided. In the event that a registration cannot be honored, notification of this will also be made to the email address provided.

The prices shown on the online registration page at the time of booking apply. Typically, we invoice the participation fees shortly after the start of the event or course with a payment deadline of fourteen working days.

Subject to changes

We retain the right to make necessary content-related, methodological and organizational changes or modifications (e.g., due to changes in the law) before or during the event, as long as these do not significantly change the intended benefit of the announced event for participants. We reserve the right to substitute the scheduled speakers with other individuals possessing comparable qualifications on the announced topic if necessary (e.g., in the event of illness or accident).

Your cancellation guarantee for events

The following provisions apply to full-day, multi-day or shorter events.

Substitution

You may nominate a participant’s substitute at any time, provided that the substitute meets the requirements for participation in the respective event. This will not incur any additional costs for you.

Rebooking

You can rebook for another event or course before the event begins. In the event of a rebooking (only possible once) we charge the following processing fees:

• Rebooking up to 4 weeks before the start of the event or course: free of charge
• Rebooking from 4 weeks before the start of the event or course: 20% of the participation fees (minimum €50,-; maximum €350,-) plus VAT.

Cancellation

You can withdraw from the contract at any time. Please be aware that we charge the following processing fees:

• Cancellation up to 4 weeks before the start of the event: 10% of the participation fees (minimum €50,-; maximum €350,-) plus VAT.
• Cancellation from 4 weeks before the start of the event: The entire participation fee plus VAT. This also applies if registered participants do not attend.

Cancellation of events

We reserve the right to cancel the event in case of low attendance or other compelling reasons beyond our control (e.g., sudden illness of the speaker, force majeure). Naturally, any participation fees already paid will be refunded to you unless you wish to rebook for another date.

Further liability and compensation claims resulting from the cancellation or change of the event that do not involve harm to life, body or health are excluded, unless there is intent or gross negligence on our part. Please also bear this in mind when booking hotel rooms and air or rail tickets.

Photography and video recording

Photographs may be taken of participants during the events within the context of a photo log. These photo logs will only be made available to event participants in the learning environment. If you do not want any photographs to be taken of you or do not want the photo log to be uploaded to the learning environment, please contact Anja.Hoffmann@comma-soft.com ideally before the event or approach the instructors during the event.

Some events may also include the taking of photographs or videos of the participants. Please note that these recordings, and not the photo logs, are subject to use for promotional purposes by Comma Soft AG. If the recordings are used for promotional purposes, we will seek your consent separately before the event.

Data storage

Through registration for the event, the participant agrees that his/her personal data will be stored and processed in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) and the German Data Protection Regulation (Datenschutz-Grundverordnung, DSGVO). The data will be used for the purpose of event implementation and processing as well as for information on other events of Comma Soft AG. By registering, the participant expressly consents to the storage and processing of his/her personal data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for the aforementioned purposes. Personal data will not be passed on to third parties for advertising purposes. The participant may at any time object to the storage, processing, transfer and/or publication of his/her personal data to the organizer in writing or via email. Ownership and use of educational materials

We reserve the unrestricted right of ownership to all supplied teaching materials until all payment obligations of the customer have been met in full. The transfer to third parties or any public dissemination or disclosure of course documents or teaching materials is not permitted. The sharing of audio or video data, digital presentations or scripts on publicly accessible internet portals is expressly prohibited.

Documents provided as part of continuing education are prepared to the best of our knowledge and ability. Liability and guarantee for the accuracy, timeliness, completeness and quality of the content is excluded.

Liability

Participants attend the event at their own risk. The liability of the organizer or the persons commissioned by them for damages, in particular for those resulting from accidents, damage, loss or theft, is excluded, unless the damage is based on intentional or grossly negligent behavior of the organizer or their vicarious agents or on injury to life, body and health.

Final provision

Should individual provisions of this agreement be or become invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by the valid and enforceable provision which the contracting parties intended with the invalid or unenforceable provision.
